Gems (both creature and power) can be broken down into Dust. Dust is used to create gems of any type manually.Say a gem gives you 300 dust when you break it, well it would cost you 600 dust to create it again. So you lose 50% of the value by dusting.There are passive skills to give you 10% more dust or a 10% dust discount when creating gems.
