A Curse is negative effect that you can place on a creature or a mage. Cursing is available once you reach level 25.
Before you can cast a Curse, you need to travel to Regalis and go inside the library.
There you can buy the all Curses for which you have learned the skill.
If the Curse is a mage Curse, you only need to learn it once.
If the Curse is a creature Curse, you need to learn it for each creature that you want to curse.
Higher tier Curses require that you first learn the lower tier curse in the library.
The duraction of the Curse depends on the difference in levels between you and the target.
When you are the same level, the Curse will last the maximum amount of time.
When you you are 15 or more levels apart from the target, the Curse will last the minimum amount of time.
Additionally to the casting cost, you need at least 1 shard to power the Curse.
You will be able to see these shards in the Shard Vault of your kingdom.
An opposing kingdom can attack the Shard Vault, destroy your shards and thus dispel your Curses.
The chance of succesfully casting a Curse is decreased by 7% to a minimum of 30% for every Curse or Blessing you cast.
24 hours after casting the Curse or Blessing, the 7% penalty is removed again.

Creatures damage is reduced by 20% every turn, becomes very expensive to launch and resurrect and steals 20% less Cost to learn: 20000 essence
Cost to cast: 70% power balance, 1-4 Shards
Break Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creatures damage is reduced by 30% every turn and becomes very expensive to launch and resurrect Cost to learn: 40000 essence
Cost to cast: 80% power balance, 1-10 Shards
Fright Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature has a 30% chance of doing no damage and steals 40% less Cost to learn: 10000 essence
Cost to cast: 50% power balance, 1-1 Shards
Fear Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature has a 45% chance of doing no damage and steals 20% less Cost to learn: 20000 essence
Cost to cast: 70% power balance, 1-4 Shards
Terror Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature has a 60% chance of doing no damage Cost to learn: 40000 essence
Cost to cast: 80% power balance, 1-10 Shards
Mutate Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Every battle, the creature has its damage and health randomly reduced by 30 to 60% and steals 40% less Cost to learn: 10000 essence
Cost to cast: 50% power balance, 1-1 Shards
Morph Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Every battle, the creature has its damage and health randomly reduced by 45 to 75% and steals 20% less Cost to learn: 20000 essence
Cost to cast: 70% power balance, 1-4 Shards
Deform Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Every battle, the creature has its damage and health randomly reduced by 60 to 90% Cost to learn: 40000 essence
Cost to cast: 80% power balance, 1-10 Shards
Choke Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature can no longer have more than 40 levels and steals 40% less Cost to learn: 10000 essence
Cost to cast: 30% power balance, 1-1 Shards
Constrict Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature can no longer have more than 30 levels and steals 20% less Cost to learn: 20000 essence
Cost to cast: 60% power balance, 1-4 Shards
Strangle Target: creature Requirements: Learn  100% Chance
Creature can no longer have more than 20 levels Cost to learn: 40000 essence
